Wooden Town Package
Welcome to Hjo – the wooden town by Lake Vättern! Join us on a guided tour through Hjo and its history. The tour weaves together history and anecdotes at a pleasant pace, as you stroll with your guide through the wooden town and Hjo’s past, along cobbled streets, past hidden courtyards, and lush gardens. Several different guided tours are available – contact us to learn more.

Estrid Ericsson
The design-icon of the 1900’s Estrid Ericsson grew up in Hjo and today the city still has the pleasure to show her expedition. Here you can see her creative cooperation with Josef Frank and other premier designers and architectures of this era. Receive a guided tour of Estrid’s success story and company ‘Svenskt Tenn’ and how its unique design inspired the world during the first half of the 20’s century. The expedition is held at ‘Kulturkvarteret’, which is approximately 45 minutes walk away from the hotel.
